Pray! Prayer is the key to all God is calling us to do. Prayer and then obedience. What is it God is leading you to do? Gather some people you know who will pray for a season with you on Gods plan for you and sports in prison. Pray for God to send volunteers. Pray for God to open doors with the prison administration. Pray for patience as things will not move as fast as you may think they should.

Sport is the great neutralizer to all things. Many of our people are actual fitness trainers and health experts. We have values-based curriculum that can be used. Much of what we do is more a ministry of presence then a full-on Gospel presentation. We are called to visit and to love and how we do that may mean something much different from one circumstance to another.

This varies from country to country but most of the time there is a process. You will have to have background checks and maybe various other checks, but these are normal. Once you're in, you're in!

How much time do you have? What's your main goal and objective? Some teams go in once a month. Some go once a week, some go every day. We would suggest to start easy, with a light responsibility and work your way to a heavier load once you are confident with your team. Plus you need time to develop relationship with the staff in the prison.
